Professions

Tailoring

Tailoring takes cloth dropped by humanoids across the world of Azeroth and creates clothing and armor. This means that, as with enchanting, no specific gathering skill is required to obtain materials for this skill.

When initially leveling this skill, focus on turning linen cloth into bolts and banking the stacks of bolts. Linen bolts stay orange (automatic skill gain) through 25 and yellow (likely skill gain) through 40. At 30, you can begin to make "green" items which can be disenchanted. These have some resale value or (if you've paired this skill with enchanting) with a source of items to disenchant.
