Reputation CompendiumBrood of Nozdormu
The Bronze Dragonflight, the offspring of Nozdormu, guard the timeways against interference. They also nudge the course of events at key points to ensure the "proper" course of the future. The current leader of the Brood is Anachronos, the great Bronze Dragon, who resides in the Caverns of Time in eastern Tanaris. The Brood supplies trusted allies with gear of amazing power. These include both class-based items which require the collection of items dropped in Ahn'Qiraj as well as the Signet Ring, which increases in power as you gain reputation. Details may be found on the official page. You begin Hated with the Brood.
Reputation from KillsThe primary means of gaining rep with the Brood once the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj are open is to run Ahn'Qiraj instances. Killing bosses in the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj (AQ20) yields 33 rep each. These gains persist through Revered. Killing other mobs in the Temple yields 100 rep per kill through Neutral. Bosses in the Temple (AQ40) drop Qiraji Lord's Insigniae (group-lootable) which may be turned in for 500 rep each ("[60] Mortal Champions"); as with most such rep items, you should save these until you're no longer getting rep from the trash mob kills (they stack in 50's - so a stack is 25,000 rep). The Twin Emperors and C'Thun continue to give kill rep through Revered. During the opening event, there's a ten hour period where mobs spawn all over Kalimdor. Killing these yields 100-500 rep. QuestsMost of the quests involving the Bronze Dragonflight - whether Anachronos in Tanaris or Chromie in the Western Plaguelands - give no faction gain with the Brood. Apparently, they're only impressed by mounds of dead bugs. The class quests for items are given out by the dragon Brood NPCs in the Temple. Andorgos (Brood of Malygos), Kandrostrasz (Brood of Alexstrasza), and Vethsera (Brood of Ysera) are near the Temple entrance, just after the encounter with the Prophet (first boss). Repeatable Reputation Quests for the Brood of NozdormuYour initial standing with the Brood is 0/36000 Hated, so a lot of work has to happen before you can talk to the dragons. The primary RRQ for the Brood is Silithid carapace turn-ins. These were put in to facilitate building a "champion" who would then go on to open the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj. To complete the "[60] What Tomorrow Brings" questline, you will enter Blackwing Lair and retrieve the head of the Broodlord ("[60] Only One May Rise"). Turning this in allows you to become an Agent of Nozdormu who can then get Silithid carapaces off the hive mobs in Silithus (each drops 1-4). Turning in 200 carapaces ("[60] The Path of the Righteous") earns you 200 rep and gives you the chance to deputize another player (a "Proxy") who can then loot carapaces and give them to you (proxies cannot earn rep for themselves). This "quickly" allows you to build your standing to Neutral, allowing you to begin the scepter questline. There's a good summary of the scepter questline at WoWWiki.
If the Gates are open, the best source of rep is running AQ40 as many times as possible. |
